After having worked at some of the biggest UK Venues, and on many UK corporate companies marketing campaigns, Pushpa Alexander decided it was about time she set up her own company which she aptly named: Headz Up Business. Pushpa Alexander has been actively promoting women in business for a number of years. In 2009 working for www.yses.co.uk , serviced offices she was fortunate to host the Swedish delegation via Go-Woman Magazine and was delighted to be involved with the visit of 19 Swedish female entrepreneurs to the women’s networking event she regularly organised for West Midlands House. In March 2010 as part of the WIN Project (Women In Networking) headed by its UK representative West Midlands Tomorrow, Headz Up 4 Women Networking was delighted to be identified as an ideal networking environment to host the Italian & Latvian delegation and was delighted to meet the Mayor of Marche region. And please keep checking the website as Headz Up Networking will be continuing with hosting more International visits to their networking events in 2012.
Headz Up Business has grown rapidly in reputation within the West Midlands region and its huge success partly can be drawn to Pushpa’s wealth of experience within business, partly down to her relentless energies in helping & supporting other business’s around her and her own desire to be involved within the local business community. Pushpa has an unquenchable thirst for learning new ways of doing things, is always keen and very interested in how she can help business’s. Pushpa Alexander has achieved much considering she came from a small town called Willenhall situated between Walsall & Wolverhampton. After studying Psychology at Secondary Education, went on to achieve a 2:1 in Philosophy, Sociology & Anthropology from Hull University. To ensure all the right ingredients for business success Pushpa Alexander has recently completed the SFEDi Course, together with completing the first qualification recognised in the UK, BTEC in Social Media for Business.
What’s even more astonishing is that Pushpa is a mother of three children under 5 years of age! (to be precise 5rs, 4yrs & 2ys) and understands too well the spinning of plates involved with being a mum and running a business. Starting a Business isn’t always an easy option by any stretch of the imagination. Pushpa has excelled her business by focusing on her strengths and building on good relationships with everyone around her. Pushpa Alexander is known for supporting other business’s and has enjoyed motivating others to Enterprise with many business community involved activities: For GEW 2009, organised ‘the Mayor’s Entrepreneurial Event’ at Walsall Town Hall for Cll Gary Clark. And in Dec 2011 Pushpa was awarded by the Wow Programme, as an ‘Innovation & Change Ambassador’: It was awarded to acknowledge the personal contribution made to the economy of Walsall & The winning opportunities in Walsall Programme 2010-2011. And it was to acknowledge the agreement to promote the value of Innovation and Change to other local businesses.
“I was inspired by Pushpa from the moment we met; she has a dynamism which is catching. She pays attention to the smallest detail in everything she does: She knows her subject and places all her acumen at your disposal, her business is truely innovational; she brings an added dimension to the art of promotion, goes the extra mile in developing relationship which benefits both your business & thereby her own. I can truely recommend her.”
“She is dynamic, caring and passionate developing business so as they achieve stability at the very least and ideally business growth. Her key objectives in many senses match mine in that she wants the people who make up those business communities to grow as well.”
“I have known Pushpa a couple of years now, she is eternally effervescent to the point I think she’s powered by supercharged Duracell batteries. Anyone looking to have an event organised needn’t look any farther than Pushpa.”
