Another plus for You-Tube is the videos are indexed by Google & can help with searches for your product. So optimising your videos correctly, again can potentially get you a competitive edge over the existing market.
Case Study of Success achieved by a business utilising U-Tube:
Orabrush product has been well featured in business journals and conferences as a You-Tube success story for business. Orabrush is a product in the US, it is a tongue cleaner that will help those who suffer from bad breath. The company Orabrush came up with a clever way to market the product with a series of funny videos posted on YouTube. Those videos helped the company go from zero sales to a million dollars in sales in one year.
Orabrush CEO Jeff Davis offered his advice in a press release.
“To my knowledge, there have been few, if any, products to go from no sales, online or offline, to full nationwide distribution by using YouTube videos in just two years,” Davis said. “Online video is the core of our Reverse Marketing Model. The unconventional approach we’ve taken creates high levels of awareness with consumers online, fosters demand for the product in stores and forms retail partnerships to meet consumers’ need for convenience. What Orabrush has accomplished was impossible just a few years ago. The technology simply didn’t exist.”
Technology such as You-Tube gives companies new opportunities to be creative in their marketing. These opportunities did not exist just a few years ago!.
