WOMEN IN BUSINESS

Women in Business Expo

More than just an event. A powerful platform for inspiration, empowerment, and business growth. Supporting female entrepreneurship, connecting business leaders, and fostering economic success.

A Platform for Inspiration, Empowerment & Growth

Organised by Headz Up Business, this high-impact event has played a key role in supporting female entrepreneurship, connecting business leaders, and fostering economic success. Through expert-led panel discussions, networking opportunities, and knowledge-sharing sessions, the expo creates a space where women can raise awareness of workplace challenges while also discovering practical solutions in a digital age.

The event provides a platform to highlight challenges but also champion solutions, creating an environment where 'women inspire women'—sharing experiences, celebrating achievements, and driving collective success.

Women and Work: Post-World War II

HISTORICAL CONTEXT

The end of World War II brought a significant rise in female employment. By the 1970s, women's participation in the UK workforce had reached a turning point. In 1971, the employment rate for women aged 16 to 64 stood at 52.7%.

This era also saw key legislative advancements, including the Sex Discrimination Act of 1975, which aimed to promote gender equality in the workplace.

While women's presence in the labour market has grown over the years, disparities persist.
